TELEMTRY SUPPORT FOR JETI, FR SKY AND FUTABA RADIOS.

A highly unique turbine offering that has great power and extremely simple set up making it the easiest turbine to install and and use in the industry. With sleek and very stylish external design this turbine range will really turn some heads in the jet flying community.
ENVIRONMENT PERCEPTION
The Vortex automatically adjusts settings based on environmental factors, adjusting for the perfect operating envelope.
TELEMETRY SUPPORT
Supporting Frsky, Futaba and Jeti protocols see telemetry data on your radio including Turbine RPM, Battery Voltage, Amp Draw and Temperature.
BUILT IN BUBBLE SENSOR
Capable of detecting a bubble the size of a pin head this sensor allows the user to get a perfect seal in their fuel system.

TELEMETRY SUPPORT
The Vortex range of turbines support telemetry for the following radios.
Futaba / FRSKY / JETI
Set up is easy and can be achieved in just a few minutes. Telemetry data available for display is as follows.
Turbine RPM
Battery Voltage
Temperature
Fuel
Amp Draw
We are also currently working on a number of other data options that will be available in the near future via a firmware update.
ENVIRONMENT PERCEPTION MODULE

The ETU (Environment Sensing and Parameter Feedback Unit) is used to sense atmospheric pressure and temperature. These parameters can be displayed on the GSU main interface.
This function allows the engine to make corresponding parameter adjustments during start-up and operation in response to changes in the atmospheric environment, meeting the needs of users in different regions.
The ETU housing is made of aluminium alloy. To enable the sensor chip to more sensitively detect atmospheric information, an opening is designed on the aluminium alloy housing to connect the sensor chip with the external atmosphere.
On the inner side of this opening, a waterproof and breathable membrane is applied to prevent external liquids (such as fuel) or foreign matter from entering the module.

BACKGROUND
The FTL Vortex turbine was developed to re-define what is possible in an RC jet turbine. The first port of call was to make as many improvements to the installation and fitting of the turbine as possible. To do this we have fully integrated the following elements; the starter motor, the fuel pump, solenoid valve & various sensors. This vastly reduces the time to set up and run cabling, along with a significant reduction in both the weight of accessories, the turbine itself and the actual time to fit and install everything.
The turbine was then cased in what we believe to be the most attractive outer skin on the market. This turbine not only looks beautiful, but is also a significant step forward to RC turbines in the market featuring several world firsts to market. Over the coming months we will focus on developing a range of sizes for this series with more coming early next year.

BUILT IN BUBBLE SENSOR
The bubble sensor equipped in the FTL Vortex uses an optical sensor to detect bubbles in your fuel line.
How does it work?
When light passes through media of different densities, it refracts. By detecting the intensity of this refraction, the system can determine whether the fluid in the pipeline is fuel or air.
The sensor used can detect a bubble the size of a pin head and inform the user that there is a potential issue with their air seal.
When a fuel-air mixture passes through the detection point, the voltage feedback signal is used to estimate the relationship between the fuel and air and thus the size of the bubble.
A bubble warning will also be displayed on the GSU stating the size of the bubble detected.
ADDAPTIVE LEARNING
This will allow the automatic adjustment of the turbine to significantly different conditions (different location / different seasons) quickly enabling you to create the best operational envelope for the turbine to work.
parameters are also displayed on the GSU with advanced settings available to help further tweak the turbines performance.
The Adaptive learning process will also automatically take effect when the engine is started and kept in idle.

FLIGHT LOGGING
The Vortex records flight data which is viewable from the GSU
You can view data such as RPM, fuel pump status, throttle signals, and fuel line bubbles for each start, stop, and flight. There is also a data playback option so the full details of the flight can be replayed and reviewed.
You can use this function for both information purposes and to diagnose issues using the telemetry data provided.
Small and very compact the FTL vortex is a cut above the competition when it comes to the external design and quality. It is also smaller the other competing units of the same power levels.

SMALLER & LIGHTER WITHOUT COMPROMISING ON POWER
The FTl Vortex has been engineered to be the smallest and lightest turbine in its class. Not only does it have excellent power and aesthetics but it is also the easiest turbine to set up and use.
The FTL vortex is incredible easy to fit and to run up as you can see from the images below. Most of the control systems are integrated into the unit, leaving very little clutter in your jet. This is also ideal for beginners that have been put off of fitting a turbine in the past because of fitting concerns.

SIMPLE FITTING FOR QUICK AND EASY SET UP
FUEL IN

8P AVIATION PLUG
plug this in for power, and connection to the in-line ETU.
FUEL LINE IN
With pre-installed with in-line micro fuel filters. Please see fitting guide for instructions.
We have taken every step to ensure that our turbine is as easy to install and user friendly as possible. Installing a turbine can be a daunting task, especially for new users. but with the vortex installation can be completed quickly and easily.
